Practice Makes Purrfect...

By almost famous · August 19, 2008 · 0 Comments · 8 Views

Today I thought I should do some experimenting with blue eyeshadow. And I realized that I don't know what the hell I'm doing... At one point, it was too much, then... it wasn't enough. I think before I start to spend money, I need to see what eye look fits me the best. I'm one of those types that wants to keep a certain look going.

Nothing like Kim Kardashian, whom uses two bottles of eye liner and mascara. I want a look that says, "Wow! She did her make up well.". I know its gonna take awhile, but I'm here practicing so my money will be well spent.

The Hills Premiere

I now understand why a lot of women buy into The Hills. Lauren is a young woman following her dreams. Something that a lot of women have faced before or will face one we follow a dream. Not to mention good drama,  men and fashion. Yeah I watch what the girls are buying and I'm positive I'm not the only one doing it. Any who, it was a pretty good premiere and the fact that Heidi let her sister stay with her and Spencer was kinda planned. It looked as if they both knew this would be good drama for the cameras. GO Hollywood!

BTW, I posted a pic of  Audrina Patridge because she's my favorite...lol Go Audrina!

I'm becoming a junkie....

Yep you heard it here first. My make up stash is growing beyond itself. It's gotten to the point of being broke because I want lipstick, eyeshadow and lip gloss. Yeah I'm more of a lip junkie. Being apart of Beauty Product Junkies should be the whole story itself. I think I may have set myself up for this...lol

I feel funny talking about it because I have no intentions of stopping. I don't think I'll stop until I have at least one lipstick of every "popular".  Okay well, maybe two of every popular brand. Is there a recovery group for this?

More of Sephora

So I was thinking about planning a day at Sephora which is down town for us Chicagoans. I'm really excited about shopping down there only because of the atmostphere. Its just something about down town that does it for me. Like an amazing feeling.....not quite like an orgasim, but almost there...lol

I can't wait to get my greedy hands on some of their products. Of course you ladies know I'm hitting up the lipsticks of every brand that isn't sold at our Macy*s, which I think is a smart move.  As of this week, I'm saving up some mola, just for this trip. I think I'll hit up; Dior, Urban Decay, Pop Beauty and Two Faced.

I can't wait!

M.A.C. for Black

I love m.a.c as well as most women, but there's something I noticed about the brand. Most of their satin lipsticks aren't made for women of color. Every satin color I choose and tried on, was too clay like for my skin tone. Whenever I tiry on a color,It looks as if a child, blindly, mixed up some paint colors and painted my lips. It's that horrible. Please, heave the messanger!

I tried on the color, "chatter box" and I was in instant horror. I swear to you ladies, it was very pasty looking. It looked caked up on my lips. So now I know stain lipsticks from m.a.c aren't for me.
