Review : Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick

I know most people have been doing a review of the new lipstick line from Maybelline called "Colorsensational". What makes this line more desirable is the company's marketing. All of the colors are seperated into four groups of colors like browns, pinks, purples and reds.

I wanted a red color and I chose a very bold fuchia-ish color called Very Cherry. Now I love these lipsticks the finish on them is more of a satin. Which means there's hardly any moisture to them. So if you decided to pick up a color, make sure you have a gloss in mind for that color. This lipstick so... reminds me of mac red by mac which is a matte finish. Iremember throwing that lipstick out and wanting to replace since I'm now into bold lips. Safe to say I don't have to buy it now.

Just to show you how red this Very Cherry is, I'm going to compare it to my true red lipstick by NPSet (you can get this from Target) called Madrid. This lipstick is extremely scary. One would have to blot this lipstick before going out with it on. It stains like crazy, its moist but its dangerous. Overall, I just love Maybelline's new line. It's a bit pricy to do a big haul on them ,but when there's a sale going on, better believe I will be up for another one or two! :)

Aw man, I hate dry lipsticks. They're just such a pain. Especially when they look quite moisturizing (Very Cherry definitely *looks* glossy/shiny in the pic!). But I really like the Madrid color - and not just for the name! It looks like it would be perfect for a sort of retro-vampy face, or something similarly formal.

I love NPSet Lipstick, but it stains like crazy! One can not wear this to a wedding or date for the sake of looking like a clown after it bleeds and feathers.
